DAY 1. NAIROBI TO MAASAI MARA
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Nairobi at 8am this morning and proceed on the scenic journey towards the Maasai Mara (approx. 5hr drive). We will descend down the Great Rift Valley escarpment on route where you have the opportunity to stop for photos at the lookout point. We will have a lunch stop on route just before we enter the Maasai Mara for our first game drive of the safari. The Maasai Mara is a Big 5 National Game Reserve meaning it is home to all of the Big 5; Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo, although some of them are very hard to spot so what you see all depends on your luck on the day! We will game drive our way to our wild bush camp on the banks of the Mara River in the Mara Triangle side of the Maasai Mara, this will be our home for the next two nights. Our team will have prepared your camping tents with camp beds and sleeping bags, and a bush toilet and shower. Tonight, we will enjoy dinner under the stars around the campfire with armed rangers nearby for our safety. L,D
DAY 2. MAASAI MARA
Today we will wake up for an early morning game drive before returning to camp for breakfast. We’ll then head out for the rest of the day with a packed lunch which we will enjoy later under a shady tree. We’ll return to our bush camp in the late afternoon for a cup of tea or coffee and you will have some time to relax and enjoy the surroundings as the sun sets before dinner. B,L,D
