5 days – Ultimate Masai Mara

DAY 1. NAIROBI TO MAASAI MARA

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Nairobi around 8am this morning and make the journey by road to the Maasai Mara. On route we will descend down the Great Rift Valley escarpment where we can stop for photos, we should arrive at Semadep Mara Camp in time for lunch. After lunch this afternoon you will have the opportunity to head out on foot for a Masai guided nature walk where our local Maasai guides can explain to you about their traditional uses for certain trees and plants in their medicine and you can look out for signs of wildlife. You will return to camp later this afternoon for dinner and overnight. L,D

DAY 2. MAASAI MARA BUSH CAMPING

This morning we will enter the Maasai Mara reserve for an exciting day of game driving and a night of bush camping in the wild! We will do our game drive and have a picnic lunch later under a shady tree today. The Maasai Mara is a Big 5 National Reserve meaning it is home to all of the Big 5, Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. Although some of them are very hard to spot so what you see all depends on your luck on the day! Late this afternoon we will game drive our way to our bush camp close to Sand River. Here there are no facilities and no fences, just the wild. Our team will have prepared you two man camping dome tents with camp beds and sleeping bags and there will be a short drop toilet available. Our chef will be busy in his mobile kitchen whipping you up a delicious dinner which we will enjoy under the stars by the campfire tonight. B,L,D

DAY 3. MAASAI MARA

We’ll have an early start today as we wake up for an early morning game drive before returning to camp for breakfast. We’ll then head out for the rest of the day with a packed lunch which we will enjoy later under a shady tree. Late this afternoon we will leave the reserve and head out for a traditional Masai BBQ dinner before returning to Semadep Mara Camp to overnight. B,L,D

DAY 4. MAASAI MARA HOMESTAY

After a leisurely breakfast today, we will head to a local Maasai homestay for lunch and overnight. Here you will have the opportunity to experience the real life Maasai culture and their day to day activities as you learn all about their traditions and beliefs. Activities may include herding, fetching firewood, milking, beading and visiting a traditional village boma and school during term time. B,L,D

We had such a wonderful stay! The container was spotless, very comfy, and exactly as described — even better in person. The location was perfect, close to the safar and quiet to relax and hear animals. Moses was incredibly kind, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our stay, making everything smooth. I really appreciated the small details and the warm hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting for the safari!

My stay at The Pink Container, Maasai Mara was pure magic! I wanted to travel independently (not on a package tour) and found this gem on Airbnb — best decision ever. Moses and Laura are warm, thoughtful hosts who care deeply about sustainability. The cozy container had everything — rainwater, fresh farm milk, eggs, and a self-sufficient kitchen. Moses welcomed us like family and even took us to a private sunset viewpoint. Our safari guide, Mike, was phenomenal — we saw the Big Five, over 40 lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and more! His knowledge and driving skills were unmatched. The area felt peaceful, safe, and filled with countryside charm — cows, goats, birds, and the sweetest Maasai night guard, Josephat. I left with a full heart and unforgettable memories. If it’s available, book it right away — it’s not just a stay, it’s a soulful experience. 🌿❤️ I would love to stay in touch with them! They are like family now!

We had an incredible experience at the Pink Container. Moses and the Kobi Farm family made us feel right at home, in the midst of wilderness. The container is well-equipped, the outside patio and surroundings are beautiful. We had a great time at the observation deck spotting the drifting wildlife. Also, pretty amazing waking up to lion grunts and hyena calls in the middle of the night. The game drives were exhilarating and very convenient too. We opted for the catered meals - they were delicious and hearty. Highly recommend it. Everybody at the farm was really warm and fun to talk to. They went above and beyond to make it our home during our stay. We left with a lot of fond memories. If this place is available for your dates, don’t think twice. I can’t imagine any other place providing a comparable experience. Shoutout to the Kobi Farm family for making it unique and special.

We had a wonderful stay in Sekenani! The property was comfortable and perfectly located for exploring the Masai Mara, but what truly made our experience exceptional was our host. He was incredibly professional, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. From the moment we booked, he helped us organize our tours and made all the arrangements stress-free. Thanks to our guide Mike that Moses organized for us, we were able to enjoy an unforgettable safari experience. It was a once in a lifetime memory for us. We felt very well taken care of.

One of my best Airbnb experiences ever! Moses is such an amazing host he truly made us feel right at home. He even took us around his farm and went the extra mile in every way. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave!Special shoutout to Gideon, Cactus, Mike (our awesome game drive guide), and of course the sweetest dogs - OJ, Chrome, Snowman, and little Dikdik 🐶. They all made our stay unforgettable. If this place is available, don’t think twice just book it! I’m convinced even 5-star hotels can’t match the kind of warmth, care, and hospitality Moses offers. Thank you again, Moses, for everything 🙏 Masai Mara got even better because of our decision to stay here

We had an amazing stay at the Pink Container! Moses was incredibly helpful from the time we booked, up until each day of our stay. I had a bunch of questions which he was happy to answer. We opted for the catered meals per day and Moses accommodated our dietary restrictions graciously! He is an amazing chef and gave us 3 course meals during our stay. My birthday happened to be on one of the days of our stay and Moses and Laura surprised me with a homemade cake and songs. It was really sweet! It was super interesting to learn more about life living off the grid from Moses and we appreciated our conversations with him.We also booked game drives through them and our guide Mike was awesome. We were able to see a variety of animals in a short amount of time and learned a lot about the Maasai culture from him. During our stay we also heard hyenas and lions at night. The stars outside on a clear night were breathtaking. On our last day, we were even visited by zebras!

If this place is available- BOOK IT NOW. you will be lucky to experience this place!we decided to stay here to save money on Masai mara safari by travelling by public transport and taking a tour from here. turns out, the experience was way more than we anticipated.the pink container is extremely cosy and has everything you need. make sure you add catering, moses and the team made delicious and nutritious meals with ingredients grown on the farm itself which was super special.they arranged a safari for us with Rono and he was an amazing guide. a private safari to the Masai mara (for cheaper than a budget group tour from Nairobi) is the stuff of dreams!and best of all was Moses, a wonderful, friendly and chatty host. it felt like staying with a friend! he took us to his sunset viewing platform, chatted with us and did everything he could to help only regret is not staying longer100% recommend
