DAY 1. NAIROBI TO AMBOSELI
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Nairobi around 8am this morning and depart on the scenic journey by road to Amboseli, which will take us around 4-5 hours depending on traffic. Amboseli is a small national park is based at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and often there are stunning views of the mountain from here depending on the weather. We should arrive here in time for lunch and later we will go for a guided motorbike tour around the local area of Kimana. We will stay close to Kimana for the next two nights at Kili Springs Camp, a local Maasai owned and run camp. L,D
DAY 2. AMBOSELI
This morning we will depart early to explore Amboseli National Park, carrying our packed lunch with us. This park is famous for its huge herds of Elephants and wide range of bird species. There is also a lookout hill where you will have the opportunity to climb up to the viewpoint and look out over the marsh lands which are home to Hippos and Waterbucks below. We will return to our camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight. B,L,D
DAY 3. AMBOSELI TO NAIVASHA
After breakfast we will depart Amboseli and head to Naivasha which will be around a 6-7 hour drive. We will have a lunch stop on route in Nairobi where we will also visit the AFEW giraffe centre, a place where you are able to get up close and personal with the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Close by to Naivasha you will have the opportunity to stop for photos at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. On arrival in Naivasha we will head to our accommodation for the next two nights at Camp Carnelley’s. B,L,D
DAY 4. NAIVASHA
This morning you will be able to get out on bikes and head into Hell’s Gate National Park to explore this scenic park with its rock formations and wildlife. This is one of the only parks in Kenya where you can walk and cycle inside due to the lack of dangerous predators. You will be able to cycle as you explore Fischers Tower and walk to the Ol Njorowa Gorge viewpoint inside the park. We will also go for a boat trip on lake Naivasha for around 1 hour today, where we will look out for hippos and the African Fish Eagle! B,L,D
DAY 5. NAIVASHA TO MAASAI MARA
We will depart Naivasha after breakfast this morning and make the journey to the Maasai Mara which will take us around 4-5 hours. We hope to arrive to arrive in time for lunch at Semadep Safari Camp, and this afternoon we will have our first game drive in the Maasai Mara. The Maasai Mara is a Big 5 National Game Reserve meaning it is home to all of the Big 5; Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. Although some of them are very hard to spot so what you see all depends on your luck on the day! We will return to our camp for dinner and overnight. B,L,D
DAY 6. MAASAI MARA
Today we will head out into the Maasai Mara for a full day game drive with a packed lunch which we will enjoy later under a shady tree. We will have time to explore large areas of the reserve today and visit an area frequented by Hippos and Crocodiles before we return to our camp for dinner and overnight. B,L,D
DAY 7. MAASAI MARA TO NAIROBI
This morning you will have the opportunity to go for a Maasai guided nature walk where you can learn about the flora and fauna and find out more about the Maasai way of life and culture. Afterwards we will depart the Maasai Mara and have a lunch stop on route back to Nairobi where we hope to arrive by the late afternoon/early evening. B,L
