7 days – Ol Pejeta, Samburu, Meru

Day 1. NAIROBI TO OLPEJETA CONSERVANCY

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Nairobi around 8am this morning and start heading north on the scenic journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy (approx. 4hr drive). We hope to arrive at our accommodation of Serena Sweetwaters for lunch, where you can dine with waterhole views. Later this afternoon we will go for a game drive to explore the conservancy. Included meals: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2. OLPEJETA CONSERVANCY

Today we have the whole day to explore the conservancy. We’ll visit the chimp sanctuary, a refuge for previously neglected and rescued chimps, and also visit Baraka the blind Rhino, as well as doing game drives. Tonight we’ll spend another night at Serena Sweetwaters. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3. OLPEJETA CONSERVANCY TO SAMBURU

After breakfast this morning we will game drive out of the conservancy and begin the journey further north to Samburu National Reserve (approx. 3hr drive). Here you will feel the temperature start to rise, but our accommodation at Simba Lodge has a much needed swimming pool! We’ll have lunch at the lodge and later in the afternoon go for a game drive. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4. SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Today we have the whole day to explore the Buffalo Springs area of Samburu where we can continue of search for the Samburu Special Five; the Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, and Beisa Oryx. Because of the heat, we would recommend heading out for an early morning a late afternoon game drive today, rather than going out for the whole day! Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5. SAMBURU TO MERU NATIONAL PARK

We’ll have time for a final early morning game drive today if you wish, before we head to iKweta Camp, just close to the rarely visited Meru National Park. The roads are quite bad with potholes and speed bumps but we hope for the drive time to be 3-4 hours. After lunch at camp we’ll go for an afternoon game drive. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6. MERU NATIONAL PARK

You have the option to head out for the whole day today, or to go for a morning an afternoon game drive. Meru National Park has an 87 square kilometre Rhino Sanctuary, and the rest of the park also has good chances to spot Reticulated Giraffe, Elephants, Lions and Hippos. We’ll spend our final night at iKweta tonight. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 7. MERU NATIONAL PARK TO NAIROBI

This morning you can head out for a final early morning game drive, or you can opt to head out on foot for an optional 2hr nature walk excursion offered by iKweta Camp to Gatwe ‘Skull Hill’ for around 2 hours.  Alternatively you can just relax at camp or by the pool until around 10am when we will make the journey back to Nairobi (approx. 6-7hr drive). On arrival in Nairobi we will drop you off at your desired location. Included meals: Breakfast

We had such a wonderful stay! The container was spotless, very comfy, and exactly as described — even better in person. The location was perfect, close to the safar and quiet to relax and hear animals. Moses was incredibly kind, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our stay, making everything smooth. I really appreciated the small details and the warm hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting for the safari!

My stay at The Pink Container, Maasai Mara was pure magic! I wanted to travel independently (not on a package tour) and found this gem on Airbnb — best decision ever. Moses and Laura are warm, thoughtful hosts who care deeply about sustainability. The cozy container had everything — rainwater, fresh farm milk, eggs, and a self-sufficient kitchen. Moses welcomed us like family and even took us to a private sunset viewpoint. Our safari guide, Mike, was phenomenal — we saw the Big Five, over 40 lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and more! His knowledge and driving skills were unmatched. The area felt peaceful, safe, and filled with countryside charm — cows, goats, birds, and the sweetest Maasai night guard, Josephat. I left with a full heart and unforgettable memories. If it’s available, book it right away — it’s not just a stay, it’s a soulful experience. 🌿❤️ I would love to stay in touch with them! They are like family now!

We had an incredible experience at the Pink Container. Moses and the Kobi Farm family made us feel right at home, in the midst of wilderness. The container is well-equipped, the outside patio and surroundings are beautiful. We had a great time at the observation deck spotting the drifting wildlife. Also, pretty amazing waking up to lion grunts and hyena calls in the middle of the night. The game drives were exhilarating and very convenient too. We opted for the catered meals - they were delicious and hearty. Highly recommend it. Everybody at the farm was really warm and fun to talk to. They went above and beyond to make it our home during our stay. We left with a lot of fond memories. If this place is available for your dates, don’t think twice. I can’t imagine any other place providing a comparable experience. Shoutout to the Kobi Farm family for making it unique and special.

We had a wonderful stay in Sekenani! The property was comfortable and perfectly located for exploring the Masai Mara, but what truly made our experience exceptional was our host. He was incredibly professional, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. From the moment we booked, he helped us organize our tours and made all the arrangements stress-free. Thanks to our guide Mike that Moses organized for us, we were able to enjoy an unforgettable safari experience. It was a once in a lifetime memory for us. We felt very well taken care of.

One of my best Airbnb experiences ever! Moses is such an amazing host he truly made us feel right at home. He even took us around his farm and went the extra mile in every way. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave!Special shoutout to Gideon, Cactus, Mike (our awesome game drive guide), and of course the sweetest dogs - OJ, Chrome, Snowman, and little Dikdik 🐶. They all made our stay unforgettable. If this place is available, don’t think twice just book it! I’m convinced even 5-star hotels can’t match the kind of warmth, care, and hospitality Moses offers. Thank you again, Moses, for everything 🙏 Masai Mara got even better because of our decision to stay here

We had an amazing stay at the Pink Container! Moses was incredibly helpful from the time we booked, up until each day of our stay. I had a bunch of questions which he was happy to answer. We opted for the catered meals per day and Moses accommodated our dietary restrictions graciously! He is an amazing chef and gave us 3 course meals during our stay. My birthday happened to be on one of the days of our stay and Moses and Laura surprised me with a homemade cake and songs. It was really sweet! It was super interesting to learn more about life living off the grid from Moses and we appreciated our conversations with him.We also booked game drives through them and our guide Mike was awesome. We were able to see a variety of animals in a short amount of time and learned a lot about the Maasai culture from him. During our stay we also heard hyenas and lions at night. The stars outside on a clear night were breathtaking. On our last day, we were even visited by zebras!

If this place is available- BOOK IT NOW. you will be lucky to experience this place!we decided to stay here to save money on Masai mara safari by travelling by public transport and taking a tour from here. turns out, the experience was way more than we anticipated.the pink container is extremely cosy and has everything you need. make sure you add catering, moses and the team made delicious and nutritious meals with ingredients grown on the farm itself which was super special.they arranged a safari for us with Rono and he was an amazing guide. a private safari to the Masai mara (for cheaper than a budget group tour from Nairobi) is the stuff of dreams!and best of all was Moses, a wonderful, friendly and chatty host. it felt like staying with a friend! he took us to his sunset viewing platform, chatted with us and did everything he could to help only regret is not staying longer100% recommend
